Saints of God, how hungry are you for the things of  God?
Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:  for they shall be filled.” To hunger is to crave, to long for, to deeply desire. “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God” (Psalm 42:1-2). When you are truly after righteousness you pursue God and His kingdom.  You depend on the Word of God alone that moves you from the natural to the supernatural.  You begin to participate in the things that glorify God. Things of the world do not matter to you anymore. You want to read the Word, pray, and fast.  How do you hunger?  You crucify self. Neglect flesh. Nail it to the cross. Luke 9:23 says, “And he said unto them all, ‘If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.’”
If you do not hunger for righteousness, you cannot deny self or pick up your cross and follow Jesus.  Flesh wants you to follow the rules of the devil. We cannot be connected to the world if we want to be who God has called us to be. Satan is always there to limit, to distract, and to bring confusion. He is always after the progress of the children of God. But Matthew 4:4 says, “But he answered and said, ‘It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.’” Eat the Word like you are eating natural food. If you do this, you will be disciplined and every other thing—joy, peace, healing, prosperity, and success in all you do--will follow. You will also be greatly empowered! Acts4:33 says, “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”
When you eat the Word, you take the Holy Spirit into you. He gives you grace above others.  He makes you stand firm.  He makes you acceptable.  He protects you.  You have all that you need. Nothing can stop you because you are FILLED with POWER. When God fills you, you cannot lack anything. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, sickness cannot be comfortable in your body. If you are still filled with sickness, ask yourself, “How hungry am I?”  When the Spirit of God breathes on you, He makes you walk in holiness.  You can no longer be conformed to the pattern of this world. You cannot mix with darkness. The Spirit of God will separate you for His use.  “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2). How hungry are you? Pray this prayer: Oh God, fill me with Your Living Water, for I thirst for You. Feed me with your Bread of Life so I will never hunger.  Father, forgive me if I have not been craving, longing, panting for You. Give me that special hunger for Your Word from today.
Take away laziness, every distraction, and all family wickedness that would keep me from hungering for You. Oh God, take away every sickness in my body that would distract me from being focused on your Word. Have your way in my life.  Make me to walk in obedience before you.  Help me learn how to surrender, how to pray. Let me be sold out for You.  Lord, use me for such a time as this.  Amen.
“And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them” (Ezekiel 36:27). You are BLESSED!
